Bristol Old Vic Young Company is home to young people from all across the city who are passionate about theatre. From inspiring weekly sessions to full scale performances, if you are 7-25 years old then you can get involved.
Over the past year the Young Company has performed outdoors for Bristol Harbour Festival, won three awards at the National Student Drama Festival, created two full-length Studio productions, performed for the opening of MShed and has developed its own graduate training company, Made in Bristol who performed a very successful run of their production 'RIOT' which they then took to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Our Young Company also continues to expand through Satellite Young Company sessions, which connect with young people who don't already participate in arts activity (in our organisation or elsewhere), providing a richer education through the arts and a deeper engagement with both their local communities and the cultures that exist with their city. We've recently piloted workshops at Ashfield Young Offenders Institue and work in conjunction with the Princes Trust.
